By John Steele Gordon Christmas famously "comes but once a year." In fact, however, it comes twice. The Christmas of the Nativity, the manger and Christ child, the wise men and the star of Bethlehem, "Silent Night" and "Hark the Herald Angels Sing" is one holiday. The Christmas of parties, Santa Claus, evergreens, presents, "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" and "Jingle Bells" is quite another.
Hello to our regular readers,
I just wanted to give a quick apology for not being as regular with my writings the last couple weeks. Every once in a while there is a convergence of work that takes place. Next Sunday I am beginning a new preaching series on Luke. Further, our Sunday class is beginning a study of 1 Corinthians. Finally, on Sunday nights I am preaching on Romans. In preparation for the Luke series, writing the Corinthians study booklets for the class, and trying to dig deeper into Romans 2-3, my time that I use for this blog has been swallowed up. I do plan to get regular with my writings in the next week, once the new series launches. Coming soon will be a review of the Expanded Bible also.
So stay with us. I’ll be back.
